Our Essex-based terrier-specific training concentrates only on terriers - we rarely train other breeds once past puppyhood. Knowing terriers inside and out means we can help you change your dog's behaviour for the better.
We love terriers! They are so quick to learn, quick to make decisions and quick to act on them; they are excellent problem solvers. Unfortunately these traits can mean they learn all the 'wrong things' just as quickly and behave in ways you might not be happy with.
Your trainer, Linda, is based in Brentwood in Essex and will help you crack the code to communicate with your terrier. You'll have the happy life with your dog you always wanted.
Our Terrier Training comes as an individual 'package' of three to five sessions of around an hour each. We can come to your home if you live in Brentwood or the surrounding areas; if you live outside our area (see areas covered below) we can meet in one of Brentwood’s parks (weather permitting). Under certain circumstances Linda may be able to travel outside Brentwood, please ask for details. We occasionally also offer a half day intensive group workshop at venues around the country for those who have a long distance to travel.
Please contact Linda for an information pack with more details of the training, and the fees, as well as how to book your sessions. We always like to talk on the phone to be sure we are offering the right service for your needs, so please do leave us your phone number and a good time to call you.
Linda Ward has trained and handled scores of terriers of different breeds, ages and temperaments since 2006, including but not limited to: Fox Terriers, West Highland White Terriers (Westies), Wheaten Terriers, Cairn Terriers, Border Terriers, Norfolk Terriers, Welsh Terriers, Glen of Imaal, and Norwich Terriers. Both Linda's parents bred terriers in the past (Jack Russells and Yorkshire Terriers), and she spent her childhood and teens living with multiple terriers. There is not much Linda doesn't know about terriers, or hasn't seen before!
Linda lives with two 'Patterjacks' (Patterdale Terrier x Jack Russell Terrier) who are highly trained and have both performed on television as well as appearing in books, magazines, websites and catalogues. Both compete in Competitive Obedience and regularly win places – they are usually the only terrier bringing home a rosette!
