Canine Actors

Photo shoot with Tinker

Linda's trained acting dogs have appeared on television (both with and without Linda), in YouTube viral videos, and in magazines and books as well as appearing in the local papers many times. Linda competes regularly in Competition Obedience with her dogs and enjoys training dogs at high levels.

For dog owners:

If you would like your dog to be a professional dog model or actor, first and foremost they must be sociable and friendly with humans and other dogs. Getting along with other species as well would be a bonus. Dogs need to be happy to be handled by and take direction from strangers, and will need a high level of reliability to basic obedience commands in different environments.

Thank you so much for taking part in the photo shoot. It was such a wonderful day, I can’t wait to start editing the photos, we got a lot of good ones! Also a big thanks to Tinker for being true Beco star!

Trick training can prepare your dogs for specific requests by directors, both in the amount of different behaviours they can do on cue (both verbal and non-verbal), as well as their confidence when asked to learn something new. Reward based training through clicker techniques and play are key for acting dogs.

If you would like your dog’s basic obedience skills improved, teach tricks to give them a chance to become a dog model or canine actor, or just to have a well behaved dog, please check our Individual Training page to book a session. See below for areas covered – we may be able to travel further afield in some cases, please ask.

We are often asked if we can recommend other dogs who may be suitable for acting or modelling, and we will put forward the names of suitable dogs we have seen for dog training.

A belated thank you very much for bringing Tinker and Coco to the filming for Hindquarters. I have seen a first edit of the ad - and it is looking great!
